The Server Engineer is responsible for enterprise server builds and deployment for physical and virtual servers. Build and support server infrastructure Uninstalling, decommissioning of old server Performing hardware and software maintenance on server Create and maintain server documentation such as Visio diagrams, spreadsheets, configuration templates & archives, build documents Monitor system performance and performance tuning Troubleshooting and document server problems and resolution Build and manage images and deployment scripts Experience and skills Configuring, managing, and maintaining both physical and virtual infrastructures - required Deep Hands-on experience with current Windows server platforms - required Hands-on experience with current virtualization platforms (VMware and/or Citrix/ZenApp) - desired Citrix application delivery - desired Strong troubleshooting skills (Hardware & Software) Server backup and restoration processes - required A solid understanding of TCP/IP network concepts and network trouble-shooting - required A solid understanding of group policy objects, print servers, access control lists - required A basic understanding of routers, firewalls, traffic managers - required Chassis and enterprise class servers - required See Job Description
