Job Responsibilities: - Protocol and Template building and support. - Requirements elicitation, analysis and customer support. - Analysis and engineering of business processes that make (or are expected to make) use of ABase. - Participate as part of a larger team providing ABase application support and administration, representing the Cambridge-area sites. - Participate in strategic discussions concerning the implementation and impact of High-Medium Throughput Screening on ABase and other applications. - Close user support on usage of ABase. Includes data access, extraction, and analysis both within and outside the ABase application. - Act as the Cambridge-area support for Activity Base (ABase) for scientific functions of Research and Development (R&D). Job Qualifications: - Bachelors of Science (BS) degree or equivalent experience. - Working knowledge of Activity Base (ABase) required. Specifically, protocol / template building and application administration. - Must be detail oriented and possess sufficient Business Analysis skills to extract requirements from scientist and translate them into tangible ABase solutions. - Some background in Biology and/or Chemistry in Pharmaceutical required. - Previous knowledge in High-Medium Throughput screening preferred. - Good technical knowledge of Excel, VBA, Visual Basic is required. - Incumbent should be able to write queries in SQL / Oracle. - Previous experience and knowledge of Abase, SARview / SARgen / Reporter, and Genedata. - Excellent communication skills are desired.
