The Project Specialist provides project management support to deliver projects within the established budget and time line. These specialists are critical members of the project team, and participate in all aspects of project management, including requirements documentation, deliverable tracking, and budget monitoring. Typical duties include planning, developing, implementing and evaluating programs and projects, coordinating project activities, and collaborating with project team members. The Project Specialist will work closely with project managers to deliver solutions. JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Developing project plans with timelines and resource requirements Tracking project status and communicating with client and customers Documenting meeting action items and issues Creating and updating weekly, monthly and quarterly project reports Creating monthly backlog reports Other tasks and responsibilities, as assigned by supervisor KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS: Very strong written and verbal communications skills Very strong experience with word processing and spreadsheets (MS Office, etc.) Prefer experience defining software requirements Prefer experience with project planning tools (MS Project) Strong quantitative skills Bachelor,'(tm)s Degree or equivalent WORKING CONDITIONS AND LOCATION: Job duties and responsibilities will be performed in a professional office setting and under typical office conditions.
