Position Title: Software Engineer Job Duration: 6+ Months Tax Terms: W2/C2C Location: San Jose CA Responsibilities: Develop a web-based application with a strong focus on the UI using HTML, CSS, Dojo and JavaScript Take visual and interactive designs from our User Experience team and translate them into a web-based user interface Work across functional teams such as Quality Assurance, Documentation, and Product Management Participate in technical discussions and provide innovation on usability and simplified management Requirements: 5+ years experience in developing web applications using JavaScript libraries (Dojo/jQuery/Ext JS/YUI) and web frameworks such as Django In-depth JavaScript experience in large projects including debugging and writing classes Knowledge of cross-browser differences in various versions of Chrome, IE, Firefox and Safari 3+ years developing with an object-oriented language such as Python and/or Java. Experience in Python is highly desirable Proven skills in leading and developing a web-based application aimed at the enterprise and commercial market. Exposure to network management software is a plus Understand basic networking and security. A plus if you have strong knowledge in these areas Be able to work in a large team across several geographies Have excellent verbal and writing skills
