RF Engineer:Exp withRF Radio, digital radio or Remote RF Head design Murray Hill, NJ Remote RF Heads and TRDUs for LTE/CDMA/WCDMA in the 700-2600 MHz range. The successful candidate will design, develop, test, integrate hw/sw/test code; troubleshoot radios and subsystems for new and existing designs, interface with the software team to resolve issues to deliver hardware radio products rapidly, and drive for continuous cost reduction and performance improvement. In addition, the candidate is expected to assist in automating the design verification testing efforts to speed hardware development.Other responsibilities of the position require the ability to look at existing designs in new ways and/or identifying minor modifications that help to create new applications for products. In addition, the ability to provide quick analysis of potential component substitutions is necessary.Key Responsibilities / Functions:• Design radios (Tx, Rx, Feedback path, Synthesizer and clock) circuitry. • Assist in integration with other system elements, debug RF issues in system.• Review Wireless Base Station system requirements, Architecture and design documents and offer feedback. • Prepare radio hardware specification documents traceable to specs, design verification test plans, document test results. Set up and prepare lab apparatus for testing as well as debugging.• Automate testing wherever possible.• Follow process guidelines to clearly document test cases, results and other findings.• Execute test cases and follow through with analysis and results documentation and review. • Work across organization boundaries to investigate and resolve performance issues. Required Qualifications: (Education, Technical Skills/Knowledge)• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering. Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering preferred. • 3+ years of related RF Radio, digital radio or Remote RF Head design experience (down to the component level). • Digital design experience a real plus. Working knowledge or experience for digital circuitry related to radio designs.• Experience with integrating hardware and software and troubleshooting preferred. • Test automation skills and experience utilizing Labview preferred. • Ideal candidate will have wireless experience, have an understanding of LTE standards, have knowledge of digital predistortion, have competencies in RF (transmit, receive, low noise amplifier, sampling receiver), and digital design (microprocessor, CPLD, FPGAs). • Willingness to broaden into RF amplifier design and test preferred. • Hands on experience and willingness to develop test plans, execute test plans and document results. • Hands-on test and debugging capability. • Ability to work and productively interface with colleagues of similar and different disciplinary backgrounds.Self-reliant, energetic, hands-on, flexible and highly motivated attitude required.Desired Qualifications: (Education, Technical Skills/Knowledge)The candidate should preferably also have an MSEE.
