We have a need to convert order information from text to EDI FORMAT: ANSI X12 Version 002040 - 004010 for one supplier. This would involve a purchase order EDI 850 An acknowledgement EDI 997 And an invoice EDI 810 Orders generated on our website are to be manually inputted. We need a utility to convert that text into, or convert from the above mentioned EDI forms. We have the user defined rules for this one supplier, but the logjam is doing the mapping. After the text is converted to the proper EDI format we'll be manually sending the file via FTP. One open source tool I've looked at is called BOTS, it appears to capable of doing this job but it still comes down to doing the mapping. ------------------------------------------ Added 16 JUL 2012, 5:46 AM EDT I should mention that the reason I'm posting this job on elance is cost. We have a list of suggested EDI providers that are just too expensive for us. To help clarify; we are a small one location retail store with an active ecommerce business on our own home-made website since 2005. Every single 850 purchase order would be identical except for the following; P.O.#, date, product sku, shipping type, shipping destination. I would do this myself if I had a couple of weeks, we're hoping to get this done in a couple of days. This EDI requirement only represents about 1-2% of our online sales.
