Design - Dermatology Practice Website needs a fresh look
Organization name Dermatology & Skin Surgery Institute of North Texas Description of the organization and its target audience We are a full service dermatology medical practice, meaning we specialize in skin, hair and nails. Our website recruits new patients and familiarizes them with our office and services. Our target audience is a wide demographic for patients of all ages in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area of Texas. Industry Medical & Pharmaceutical Existing website to reference www.dermntx.com Number of pages needed 1 Page descriptions Our goal is to design a website that is simplistic to navigate, yet informative, sophisticated and elegant. This homepage must draw in potential patients, as much of our patient base is found via online search engines in a competitive internet market. This homepage we are requesting be designed should offer an overview of the staff, services, products, and medical information for our patients. We have a site we built a few years back, which is okay, but we are looking to make it great. We need to add more information, attractive photos and speak about the full service of dermatology services we offer. We are interested in new designs, which is why we are here. 1. We want to keep the logo in the top with the phone number, address, and a link for patient forms at the top to be easily accessible. 2. We like the concept of two tool bars-one vertically down the left and one across the top horizontally. 3. We want a scrolling photo on the upper 1/4 to 1/3 of the webpage. We want to have the ability to scroll through about 4 different photos (clean, beautiful skin, family, attractive face) on this area. 4. We need an area towards the bottom of the homepage (below the fold) for a video to be played. 5. We would like to incorporate our specialty organization logos at the bottom of our site as we currently do. 6. We would like a small area for social network links to Facebook, Twitter, Google Plus, Pintrest. Style/theme ideas for the website We are open to color schemes. We do not have a style per se, but the sites below should provide the feel we are looking for. What to avoid We want to avoid a clutter look. We want an area to put a few paragraphs of text, but do not want it to clutter the design up Inspirational websites www.evans-dermatology.com We like the area at the top where the easy links are for paying your bill and patient forms. The rotating graphic is also nice on this site. We would prefer that the site be centered in the page and not left aligned as this one is. www.mohsvirginia.com We like the feel of this site. The fact boxes in the lower left corner are a unique touch. This site is relatively easy to navigate for older patients. We like that it is centered in the page. www.pleasantondermatologymd.com We like this toolbar and the top portion of this site, but as you scroll down, this site becomes too cluttered and the text runs together. This text needs more separation for our taste. We do not want an "Ask the Doctor" area. www.mckinneydermcenter.com We like the toolbars on this site, but we do not like this sea foam green color scheme. www.fourpointsdermatology.com We like the clean, non-cluttered look of this site. www.pinskiderm.com We like the effect of the background graphics on this site. www.stocktondermatology.com We like the toolbars and navigation of this site. There is a little too much white in this site design. www.dermatologyconsultants.org We like the overall feel of this site. There is a lot of information on the homepage, but it is separated nicely and does not appeared cluttered. Notes We are in a very competitive market in terms of internet generated referrals. Designs should be SEO friendly. Logos are attached in EPS format. If another format is needed, please contact us. Graphics from the current website may also be incorporated it desired. Content management system Notsure (Note: This is a design contest only. No coding is required.)
