Job Description: Technical Project Manager Job Description: In this role, the candidate will be responsible for the following activities: Manage product implementations Manage implementation and enhancement of Straight Through Processing and Self Service portal products Visualize the big picture like a solution's architect but isn't afraid to really dive into details to figure out what is going on to solve complex business problems via technology solutions. Define governance process for multitenant application, prioritize requirements from multiple stakeholders, and manage delivery of product updates and enhancements Quickly understand customer requirements and quickly visualize features, structure and interconnections of applications Leads the project team to deliver the project on time and within the budget. Provides user experience and UI design guidance for the products developed. Assembles the project team, assigns individual responsibilities, identifies appropriate resources needed, and develops schedule to ensure timely completion of project and meeting interim deadlines of project. Drives the implementation of approved projects through project management disciplines. Communicates with internal and external parties on project status and negotiates effectively for the timely resolution of issues/risks. Leads all resources in the project including business unit members and internal and external partners for the successful delivery of the projects. Prepares project reporting and metrics for Business Units meetings and Governance Board meetings. Responsible for complex projects, clients, products, and programs As part of a broader management team, influences business unit and project teams for successful completion of the project. Provides management direction to team members during project life cycle Provides cost transparency through time reporting, capacity planning and demand management. Performs project management responsibilities: status, project plan, and risk and issues management Qualified candidates will have the following experience. 8+ years experience managing medium-to-large scale IT projects 5+ Experience in Insurance Industry - web based policy administration systems, Straight through processing and Self service portal implementation, CRM and BI Solid experience/knowledge of IT environments and projects especially on.NET and BizTalk Experience in managing offshore development teams Experience in managing projects using Agile scrum delivery is preferred Experience supporting business critical production environments In addition, the qualified candidates will have: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills PMI Certification Insurance certifications from AICPCU Knowledge of web technologies; portal technology, business intelligence, and CRM Degree a strong plus SKILLS NA Synectics is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
