DIRECT CLIENT REQ SAS/SQL Data Analyst (Campaigns & Oracle) Location: Chicagoland, IL Duration: 12-13 months Required Skills: SAS, SAS MACRO, ODS, PROC SQL, PROC REPORT, PROC SUMMARY, UNIX, SQL, Mainframe, Oracle Description/ Required Skills: - The primary role will be executing 15-step direct marketing campaigns on a monthly basis. - The code is developed as a multi-step process, so understanding the full process and how each step impacts the others is important. - Although the work is mostly technical, good communication skills are important. - The individual will be required to work directly with partners from the business who sometimes have little technical knowledge. Technical Skills: - SQL in an Oracle database environment (2 years) with a focus on campaign execution processes (or other multi-step processes). - Skills should include all types of joins, unions, sub-queries, case statements, partitions, sequences and a wide variety of functions. This is not principally a report writing position. - SAS (Unix, PC, Mainframe) - Base SAS, not statistical analysis or enterprise miner (2 years). - Primary SAS coding is in data step processing, SAS skills should include macro language, ODS, Proc SQL, Proc Report - Unix environment familiarity (Navigation, Moving and Copying files, grep) - primary work environment for SQL and SAS. - Mainframe (TSO) environment familiarity - secondary environment for some ancillary processes. - Audit development and thorough validation skills are expected as flawless execution is the standard. - Excel Pivot Table experience is a plus. - Excel VBA is a plus. - PL/SQL is a plus.
