The candidate will be responsible for leading the deployment and maintenance of Microsoft System Center Solutions (SCOM and SCCM) in enterprise environments. Job responsibilities: Expert level knowledge of SCOM 2007 R2 / SCCM 2007 deployment, administration, configuration, troubleshooting, maintaining SCOM and SCCM enterprise environment. Engineering and enhancement of existing system Center operations and configuration manager systems. Support of in-house systems monitoring and software delivery mechanisms. Assist with Windows 7 deployment, OSD task sequence modifications, and deployment management status reports. Perform SQL queries, creating and modifying default SCCM / SCOM reports as needed. Create and manage capacity and performance charts, availability reports, and systems uptime. Usage of structured management pack lifecycle discipline. Deployment of management packs. SCOM gateways and certificate management. Troubleshooting of misconfigured or malfunctioning monitoring. Troubleshooting of operations manager infrastructure issues. Agent provisioning / de-provisioning. Creation and maintenance of documentation (e.g. run books, operations manager configuration) Requirements: 4+ years working with Microsoft Operations Manager (MOM) 2005- including architecting and implementing complex designs (cross-platform monitoring, DMZ architectures, 2000+ servers, HA configurations etc.) Management packs customization and optimization of rules, monitors and alerts management Strong PowerShell and VBScripts skills. Strong understanding of Active Directory and implementation experience in a large enterprise environment. 3+ years of working with Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM). Strong knowledge of SCCM administration, collection and query creations. In-depth knowledge of SCCM logs and various component troubleshooting skills. Package creation and integration into Operating Systems Deployment (OSD) task sequences. Create/Modify existing tasks sequences for OS deployment. Create/modify existing task sequences for deployments desktop/server hardware. Desired Skills and Experience: Ability to design and develop queries and reports in T SQL and SQL reporting services. Working knowledge of BMC Remedy system workflow process. Experience with virtualization solutions including VMware. Experience with Citrix XenApp and XenDesktop.
