Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a Project Manager for a contract assignment with one of our premier financial industry clients in Jersey City, NJ. Responsibilities: * Manage multiple complex investment initiatives simultaneously, responsible for proposal, scope, approach, budget, resources, milestones and quality of deliverables * Direct responsibility for managing and tracking risk remediation activities across all GTI Technology Towers * Run and facilitate weekly GTI HA/DR Program Management meeting * Develop key program/project metrics and reporting. Will be responsible for data collection, quality and maintenance. Weekly, bi weekly, monthly reporting required for multiple audiences * Key interface to HA/DR firmwide initiative for reporting and coordination of activities across Programs * Accountable for driving risk remediation, issues, risks and escalation * Review existing client high availability and disaster recovery methodology & materials, identify opportunities to enhance based on HA/DR past experience performing design reviews disaster recovery testing and risk assessments. * Tailor client availability review methodology materials, as appropriate. * Assist client to initiate the application resilience study meetings with the appropriate client application and technical infrastructure representatives, as new applications and/or environments are identified. + For each selected applications and/or environments, work with client to identify the application and infrastructure contacts that will be on the project team and will perform the analysis specific to the in-scope technology domains. + Facilitate resilience review meetings to: * Schedule and facilitate pre-meetings * Explain the purpose of the project * Define participation requirements and responsibilities * Identify the required information to the client project team and establish a schedule to capture and perform the project activities * Schedule the Application / Service technical design review workshop * Produce materials for each risk review session including extracting self-assessment survey information and validate completeness and quality of information prior to design review. Work with application owners if information is incomplete * Work with the Risk assessment team to consolidate notes, action items, issues and update project schedule, issue and risk database to reflect any new gaps or changes identified during the session. Publish meeting minutes and schedule any follow up sessions as needed. Track actions and issues weekly through closure with weekly status reporting * Assist client to develop a process for tracking and reporting risk/gap remediation. This will include creating a remediation schedule for following up with application and service owners to review progress and risks remediated. Assist with developing key metrics, developing and producing bi-weekly steering committee reports * Assist the client SME?s to analyze the results obtained in the gap assessments and incorporate results into the client?s GTI environment remediation plan. This will include creating Excel workbooks with pivot tables, charts, graphics that will help in categorization, prioritization and score carding. Working with the client technology domain SME?s assist with capturing appropriate remediation approaches and recommended actions to close gaps * Facilitate and guide incorporating gap analysis results into the client GTI environment remediation plan * Capture the remediation activities, responsibilities and schedule * Review outstanding engineering/resiliency recommendations and incorporate where appropriate into the remediation roadmap * Work with the Banking team to prioritize remediation actions * Estimate high-level implementation timeline and cost for the recommended actions * Work with client project team to develop a tracking approach and monitor progress against the recommended remediation actions. * Develop methodology for rating applications risks and scorecard for communicating to sponsors * Project Plan and Work Breakdown Structure development * Issues and Risk Identification and Lifecycle (Tracking and Reporting)\ * Drive Project team * What If Planning * Vendor Management (to Deliverable) * Status reporting (Project Status, Exec Summary Deck, Scorecard) * Project Meeting Coordination, Agenda, Notes/Action Items Required Skills: * 10 years of IT Project Management experience, or relevant business or team leadership * Expert Excel and data manipulation skills - importing and linking data, creating pivot tables, creating charts and graphs, etc * someone who has been involved or managed projects with high availability and disaster recovery experience is a big plus * Must be energetic, extremely responsive, results/task driven, with excellent written/verbal communication skills. * Ability to manage multiple projects within the program using strong project management rigor. * Heavy experience with infrastructure technologies * Experience with the internal systems for P3 reporting system, Business case tool, change control, demand forecasting/demand planning, and resource management and cross-impacting used within each region. TSPAN, Prime, ECM, EURC, WRM, etc. Big plus * Understanding of Banking global datacenter infrastructure, experience deploying server hardware, and deploying software applications into production datacenter environments. * Understanding of technologies for operating system installation and configuration management across Windows, Linux, and Unix OS platforms * Understanding of server-related technologies, including network and storage requirements for server operation * Understanding SDLC processes, and ability to manage application-related projects from customer requirements definition to delivering application content solutions. * Experience working with Banking lines of business and GTI Towers * Experience managing geographically distributed and culturally diverse work-groups * Capable of managing complex issues in a changing environment. * Strong team management skills including planning, budgetary control, people management, etc. * Requires good understanding and experience of Project Management delivery methods and tools. * Requires detailed knowledge of the Project Life Cycle. * Strong knowledge of Microsoft Products (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and MS Project). * Experience managing geographically distributed and culturally diverse work-groups with strong team management, leadership and coaching skills. * Strong written and verbal communication skills. * MS Project Skill level at least a 7 out of 10 * Ms Power Point Skill Level at least a 6 out of 10 * MS Excel Skill level at least a 5 out of 10 * MS Access a Plus * MS SharePoint a Plus SGA is a Certified Woman?s Business Enterprise (WBE) celebrating over thirty years of service to our national client base.
