Location: Cary Status: Contract Compensation: $45.00 per hour Education Level: Not Specified Java Developer for GUI Developer/Front End Developer needed for a position that begins with a 1 year contract and then is likely to be converted to become permanent with a major software company having a facility in the Triangle, NC area. The Sr. Developer is part of a team that is building new features and also fixes for a successful SaaS Cloud web application product offering. The team utilizes JavaScript, PHP, SQL, Java, and ExtJS and your skills Front End skills in either JavaScript or Java are needed to help on the Front End. Challenges include refactoring of code as well as new development to support new functionality that will communicate with the Front End portal application. You will also be involved in re-write of existing tools to suit changing business requirements. Required/Preferred skills include: JavaScript. Java. GUI/Front End Speciality is required. SQL. ExtJS - preferred or willingness to learn. GWT - preferred or willingness to learn. PHP - preferred or willingness to learn Software Engineer-will focus on Front End development in Javascript using EXT JS with Java and/or PHP. Legacy screens use PHP but all new development is in Java. Expertise in Java, JavaScript, SQL, OO development are required. Experience with PHP and EXT JS are preferred. Candidate must be willing and eager to learn these if they are not already using them. They must be highly proficient in SQL queries, writing queries with joins, subqueries, counts, etc. Must pass a criminal background check and drug test. Must be able to start in the Triangle Area of NC immediately or within 2 weeks notice.
