Contract Test Development Engineer, £40ph, South Yorkshire A long established and professional engineering business who are involved in the design and development of complex electronics products are looking to recruit a contract test development engineer to the team. The role is not a testing position, but a new R&D role, specifically based around the development of bespoke test equipment, used within the testing of new products. The business is in the process of overhauling its product portfolio and as a result need someone with the ability within the test development arena. Please find below some of the skills my client are looking for, as always you will not be expected to tick every box. However it is essential you have experience of labview, the project is transmitter and receiver work at 312MHz. Educated to minimum Engineering Degree and be able to demonstrate substantial experience in functional test development * Be able to specify required test equipment * Writing software to automate test and measurement; * Qualifying test systems; * Creating documentation to duplicate systems, provide user guides, and PM schedules * Hands-on experience designing custom circuits to interface automated test equipment with devices under test; * Possess excellent verbal/written communication, interpersonal and customer-oriented skills; * Production setup and Test flow recommendation experience; * Proficient with LabVIEW, TestStand, C, C++, and/or C# (visual basic and visual basic.NET experience will be considered) * National Instruments and Agilent test equipment knowledge; * Electrical Lab Equipment and measurement instrumentation (oscilloscopes, DMM, PS, spectrum analysers, RF signal generators, power meters) * Design of complex test equipments (integrating electronics and mechanics); * Embedded microcontroller architectures; * Easily manages and understands existing architectures and designs; * Very good attitude in problem solving and optimization; * Willing to travel abroad for limited periods of time; * Flexibility in the day-to-day tasks assignment. * RF experience * Yield analysis and monitoring parameters with respect of time.
