Subject Matter Expert - Federal Cyber Initiatives
Kforce is seeking a Subject Matter Expert (SME) of Federal Cyber Initiatives for a Germantown, Maryland client. Provide input to the following Federal Initiatives: Information Security and Identity Management Committee (ISIMC) Federal Identity, Credential, and Access Management (FICAM) Controlled Unclassified Information Supply Chain Risk Management Secure Smart Grid IVP6 Trusted Internet Connection (TIC) Secure DNS (DNSSEC) United States Government Configuration Baseline (USGCB) Provide support to Departmental activities for the above mentioned Federal Initiative to include, but not limited to the following: Develop and document requirements for compliance Research, draft, and edit final versions of related documentation, white papers, and position papers as required Provide project planning, scheduling, and coordination Coordinate, schedule, and compile notes of meetings Attend meetings, workshops, and conferences with and/or on behalf of a Project Manager as requested and required Provide notes on analysis / recommendations as necessary Develop strategic plans, program and project plans, implementation plans, etc. Evaluate activity with each of the above initiatives to determine if support will be limited to occasional review of support documents, attendance, and participation at monthly project meetings and attendance at industry or federal appropriate seminars Assist in the development and documentation of the enterprise United States Government Configuration Baseline (USGCB) program including processes and procedures and maintenance of program records; development of an Agency-wide USGCB plan that takes into consideration Federal Policies and Risk Management Framework Consult with policy staff and appropriate Departmental Organizations on departmental policy related to continuous monitoring activities The successful Federal Cyber Initiatives SME applicant will possess the following requirements (items are required unless noted otherwise): A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or related scientific or technical discipline with 5 years of relevant experience This position requires an expert understanding of security policy advocated by the U.S. Government Must be able to review agency collected data to determine risk and risk mitigation strategies to assist with the implementation of the Risk Management Framework Preferences: Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC) is highly desirable
