A leading investment firm in Boston is looking for a Software QA Analyst to function as a QA lead for several applications. The selected QA resource will be responsible for the review of business requirements and major enhancements for the application this year and the year after. You will be responsible for WQA representation in the full end to end testing process. In this project you will have ownership of the QA deliverables and team assignments, and will mentor the more junior team members. Other duties include planning, testing, and production certification of software applications in a multi Operating System and network environment, creating test strategy, test plans and test cases for application testing. Must coordinate all end-to-end testing activities with the numerous interfacing partners 30+ and SORs, monitor and track to resolution application defects. Creates, prepares, and conducts quality assurance reviews and the development and execution of master test plans, test scripts, resource planning/staffing, project test plans, project budgets, and defect management. Utilizes technical/functional knowledge of applications to provide assistance in identifying, evaluating, and resolving moderately complex test problems. Documents all phases of QA process Qualifications 7+ years IT quality assurance and systems/application testing experience. -Must have experience in the use of HP Quality Center tool. -7+ years of experience in end-to-end testing UAT and SIT. -5+ years of extensive experience with SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) -7+ years of extensive experience in testing web based and mainframe applications in the following environments: UAT (user acceptance) and SIT (systems integration). -Demonstrates follow-through on tracking/resolving application and environmental issues deiscovered during testing. -Ablity to document all phases of QA process -Direct experience in the creation and execution of manual test scripts -Ability to work some weekends on an as needed basis. -Strong experience working in the financial sector in a similair environment. -Local position in Boston MA. Rate: Should be in the area 70-105 dollars an hour. Contract: 9 months + potential extensions.
