Recruiter Position
Manpower has a great temporary opportunity as a Recruiter working for a major manufacturer in Red Wing! This role will assist with the recruiting and administration of the daily operations for the human resources department. BASIC FUNCTIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. •Develop and use proven, cost-effective recruiting strategies to fill job openings. •Attend conferences, association meetings, job fairs, and other networking events to build relationships, promote the firm, and develop an understanding of the regional employment market. •Work closely with hiring managers, human resources director, and executive leadership to participate in planning activities to determine hiring needs, trends, and recruiting strategies. •Serve as the primary point of contact for recruits throughout the interviewing process (i.e., communicate status, answer questions, extend offers, schedule start dates, and coordinate all follow-up efforts). •Work with hiring managers and human resources director to create position descriptions. •Plan, coordinate and execute on-campus recruitment efforts (i.e., information sessions, career fairs) and interviewing efforts (i.e., establish interviewing dates, schedule interviewers). •Post openings in newspaper advertisements, with professional organizations, and in other position appropriate venues •Coordinate college recruiting initiatives. •Attend career fairs for recruiting and company recognition. •Manage the use of recruiters and headhunters. •Review applicants to evaluate if they meet the position requirements. •Conduct prescreening interviews. •Perform reference and background checks for potential employees. •Assist in writing and forwarding rejection letters. •Assist in interviewing and selecting candidates. •Assist in preparing and sending offer packages. •Coordinate and schedule new employee orientation. •Maintain employee files and the HR filing system. •Assist with the day-to-day efficient operation of the HR office. Skills and Abilities •Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. •Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. •Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients customers, and the general public. •Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. •Experience recruiting for consulting or professional services firms. •Previous training on interviewing techniques. •Proven ability to handle multiple projects and prioritize in order to meet deadlines. •Excellent verbal and written communication skills. •Excellent listening and interpersonal skills. •Proven understanding of cost-effective recruiting strategies. •Experience with working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. •Experience with Microsoft Office Suite. •Ability to exhibit professional maturity.
