Sr. Crystal Reports Writer Architect Contract position Reston, VA Consultant will Deliver detailed analysis, recommendations, project plan and project frame work for Financial Reporting for existing financial reporting process, tools, design, and architecture that utilize crystal reports and other query tools to create and deliver financial reports in a Lawson S3 financial database environment, coupled with custom built Ecommerce databases Lead and collaborate closely with business and technical stakeholders (Finance and Infrastructure) to include Senior Management to determine drivers for demand, technical personnel to determine architecture and limitations, all to ensure that stated recommendations and plans are valid and will meet the needs of the stakeholders for future financial reporting needs for high quality professional daily, monthly, quarterly, on-demand, and executive reports Required Skills:* Minimum of 5 years of experience analyzing financial reporting for organizations, and provided recommendations, developing projectized approach for implementing recommendation to stream line and reduce time to market financial reports change requests Minimum 2 years of hands on experience related to defining problems and identify data required for financial reports, analyzing data and design reports to present related information, developing and maintaining professional reports, primarily with Crystal Reports Design to build and implement new report formats and layouts on a customized basis, and maintaining reports Expert knowledge with Crystal Reports including experience creating linked sub reports, drill down, SQL expressions, advanced formulas. Must be familiar with database concepts, practices, and procedures including a basic understanding of database structure, table joins, SQL, and more. Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff and management both verbally and in writing; excellent presentation skills required. Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skillsspecifically MS Powerpoint. Knowledge of data models and relationships between data elements.
