Description of Tasks -To undertake new application design and development work to ensure delivery of robust applications to meet the needs of the customers, undertaking tasks as directed by the Project Manager and Lead Developer. -To undertake enhancements to existing applications under the direction of SO2 Service Design and the Lead Developer to deliver changes that meet the needs of the customers. -Tasks will also include production of relevant technical design documentation to support the application based upon User Requirements Documentation, to the standards specified by the AIS Software Development Standards and in support of the ITIL Service Design Pack (SDP). -To contribute, as required, to the production of appropriate Systems Requirement Documentation (SRD) for the application in consultation with the AIS Requirements Analyst. -Provision of ad hoc development support as necessary, to ensure the successfully transitions of applications through system testing for subsequent deployment into the live hosting environment. Required Skills and Experience: -C# / ASP.Net Web Forms and MVC (VS 2008/2010 including Authentication / Authorisation / Web Services / AJAX / State Management (Application, Session, Cache, Cookies) / Web Farm Deployment) -Net Framework Versions (2.0, 3.0, 3.5, 4.0). -Dev Express ASP.Net suite. -Test Driven Development (NUnit). -Authentication (IIS Windows Authentication, Anonymous Access (Forms Authentication)). -Authorisation (ADAM / Azman). -SQL Server 2005 (Database Design / Normalisation / Indexing / Stored Procedures / T-SQL / Full Text Search). -SQL Server 2005 Reporting Services (including Report Builder v1). IIS / Application Pools / Web Farm. -Configuration Management (Serena Dimensions). -Experience with continuous integration servers such as Jenkins. -DNS / Kerberos / SETSPN / Trusted Sub System Model. -Analysis / Requirements Capture. -The capacity and self-motivation required to meet the demands of AIS Projects in terms of quality, customer expectations, tight timescales and work stream management. -Excellent communication and time management skills. -A high standard of: interpersonal skills; customer service skills; questioning skills. Desirable Skills and Experience: -Analysis / Requirements Capture. -A minimum of 12 months experience using Serena Dimension software configuration management system. -General Web development skills e.g. JavaScript (JQuery), cascading style sheets -Familiarity with Continuous Integration (Jenkins/Hudson) -Experience.
