Kforce is seeking a Social and New Media Manager for a San Francisco, CA Corporate Communications Corp. (This possibility will convert to a full-time employee depending on budget and performance). Our client is embracing social media, ranging from Facebook, Twitter and YouTube, to the ramification of wellness, to an internal Jive-based Intranet platform and our affordability Microsite website! The Social and New Media Manager is responsible for building and optimizing social media strategies and action plans targeted at opinion leaders and the media including day-to-day management of social media platforms, and monitoring and tracking effectiveness of social media initiatives. This manager works closely with Corporate Marketing, E-Business, Customer Service and various Business Units to assure that strategies are coordinated and complimentary. The candidate must be able to utilize proven experience building and launching successful social media programs within corporate environments. The candidate must utilize a foundation in web functionality, content management systems, digital marketing, product management, and leveraging analytics to optimize digital performance. The candidate must also utilize their expert understanding of the social media landscape, platforms and measurement tools. Social and New Media Manager Responsibilities: Develop and execute comprehensive proactive digital and social media strategies targeted at opinion leaders and the media (blogs, discussion boards, Twitter, YouTube, Facebook, etc.) that enable our client to drive positive news throughout the digital ecosystem and identify and combat negative news and opinion quickly and effectively Coordinate efforts with business unit and functional area marketing and communications staff Education / Requirements: A Bachelor's Degree with 5+ years of experience in digital and social media public relations or related business field Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to create presentations for all levels of management that display the value and need of strong social media presence Strong analytical skills including the ability summarize metrics and results in an easily consumable way Must possess strategic and creative thinking skills that enable problem solving Experience managing high-profile projects that involve multiple business stakeholders Must be able to work under time constraints and pressure while maintaining focus and consistency to campaign goals and budgets Experience with SEO techniques Healthcare experience is not necessary This Manager must be an outstanding researcher and communicator PR experience in a corporate setting, public relations agency, or medical institution environment will be helpful Journalism experience is also helpful
