Under the direction of the Supervisor of Inventory Control, this position is responsible for conducting inventory accuracy cycle counts. This entails physically verifying on-hand part quantities vs. quantities listed in SAP along with investigating any discrepancies that are found. This work is performed in manufacturing and warehouse locations. This position will also perform other material control assignments as required. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES Conducting and record daily counts of parts based on randomly generated inventory reports from SAP. Utilize SAP to identify locations of parts along with transaction history, etc completed for each part. Investigate reasons for any discrepancies in part counts Maintain accurate data used for updating Generator inventory files. Perform other related duties and assignments as directed by the Supervisor Inventory Control. RELATIONSHIPS & CONTACTS Supervisory Relationships: Reports to Supervisor - Inventory Control Organizational Relationships: Daily interaction with all other Generator Materials personnel. Frequent contact with manufacturing supervision. Regular contact with Accounting personnel. Occasional contact with Systems personnel. Regular contact with Purchasing Department. External Business Relationships: Occasional contact with sub-assembly and VMI sub-contractor. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE 1. Minimum of an Associate Degree in a related field. 2. Bachelors degree in Materials Management preferred. 3. Two years of on the job experience in Materials Management or Inventory Control 4. Must be able to learn and understand computer concepts, SAP knowledge necessary. 5. Must be good problem solver and be a self-starter. 6. Must be able to work under heavy pressure.
