Infrastructure or Data Warehouse Project Manager
Our client, a fortune 100 leader in the banking industry is seeking a qualified candidate for the following contract/ contract to hire job opening: Client is seeking I.T. project managers with backgrounds in either Infrastructure or Data Warehouse. Infrastructure or DW Project Manager - Columbus, OH Description Key responsibilities include: • Manages project budgets and financials, including Business Case development for all assigned projects. Assists in the development of departmental budgets and forecasts, as well as the tracking of actual to forecasts. • Monitors project progress and adjusts resources and priorities accordingly. • Resolves issues and conflicts with affected management, technology peers within, and business partners. Provides escalation to senior management when appropriate. • Provides accurate project task estimates and resource planning forecasts. • Since projects will involve participation and impact multiple functions within, the Project Manager must develop working relationships with all teams including Release Management, Demand Management, Change Management, Governance & Data Architecture Management, Build & Source Data Management, and Production Support. • Defines problems/needs and solutions involving substantial latitude in courses of action. • Organizes project teams by identifying areas of required expertise and skills. • Manages project teams of 3 to 7 individuals and of varying skill sets and levels of expertise. • Reports project status on a weekly basis that is clear, concise, and informative. • Ensures work products and services are completed according to established timelines and that objectives conform to overall standards and requirements. Qualifications • Minimum five years of combined project/team management skills and IT experience. • Proven experience managing Data warehouse projects. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Experience managing global projects and geographically distributed and culturally diverse work groups. • Demonstrated ability to develop relationships with business sponsors, communicate project status, and understand detailed business requirements across multiple project initiatives. • Advanced skills with MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, MS Word, and MS Project. • Well-rounded knowledge of key software development arenas including requirements definition, functional specifications, technical design, development, test, build/deploy and systems engineering. • Demonstrated success with the Agile approach to project management. • College degree, specialized training or equivalent work experience. • Project Management Certification is a plus. • Financial Services experience is a plus. **To apply, please send qualified word doc. resumes to john.usher@modis.com**
