Contract Automation Tester - Gloucestershire - Market Rate Great opportunity for a contract Tester seeking a new, challenging and exciting role in Gloucestershire. This role would see you work on some outstanding projects that need closing out. This would enable you to be the guardian of the software released to the company portal assuring the quality is maintain. You will develop and maintain an understanding of the processes and documentation in use within the Test Team. Responsibilities: - Develop and maintain understanding of the functionality of the company portal - Creating Test Plans and Scripts - Execution of test scripts - Recording in defects tracking software (Visual Studio) and effective communication of defects found - Testing of major Microsoft releases and hardware configuration against the portal - Reviewing test plans and scripts - Reviewing functional specifications and implementation plans - Estimation of testing effort required for specific projects - Support the deployment changes through the environments and into the production system - Support out of hours testing when required - Identify improvements in testing techniques, methodologies and tools in use at my client Skills Required: - Automation Testing Tools and Techniques - Visual Studio - Structured Testing Techniques eg Agile, Waterfall, V Model - Web Portal Experience - Load/Performance Testing - Understanding project and defect lifecycle and testing throughout that lifecycle Desired: - Degree in IT - ISEB/ISTQB Foundation Certification in Software Testing Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team also essential.
