We are a drinks company based in London which positions and grows brands within the UK through a comprehensive sales and marketing service. We are looking for a full-time intern to cover the role of PR and Social Media Manager for two weeks in August, with the possibility to continue as part-time Assistant thereafter. As part of a small team, you will report to the PR Manager and Directors and will be assisting with the implementation of campaigns, develop and maintain relations with the press, plan events and run our social media channels. You will be a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual with previous PR, marketing or media experience. The Role: You will be shadowing the PR Manager until her leave on August 3rd. During her absence you will be in charge of responding to all PR and media enquiries, liaise with trade and consumer media, assist on implementation of current marketing campaigns and update our blogs and social media, whilst assisting with the occasional ad hoc duties. We currently manage five different brands so you must be able to work in a fast-paced, busy environment and enjoy the challenges set by this diverse and exciting role. You will set yourself high standards and be an excellent communicator who is organised, creative and versatile. Essential skills required: •Ability to multi-task, be proactive and highly organised with attention to detail •Excellent verbal and written communications skill •Creative Thinker •Ability to work autonomously and in a team •Ability to work under pressure •Copywriting and editorial experience •Highly motivated, confident and positive can-do attitude •Knowledge of the digital: from SEO and CSM to social networks and the blogosphere •An interest in the drinks or hospitality industry would be appreciated Starting date: Immediately. The role will be full-time until August 20th and part-time thereafter. The hours are flexible. Some evening work may be required in the form of events: from fashion and art launches to music gigs.
