I am seeking a RoR development company or lead developer to add additional authentication methods to Note you will be working on the latest code available through the link below (i.e. not the older code currently in production at sharedearth.net) The intention of this project is for you to primarily add additional ways to authenticate/login to sharedearth.net, but my intention is if this is successful for you to then continue on developing the site as it goes through a major upgrade. I see this as a mini project that will allow us to explore the possibility of a successful long-term working relationship. If you are the successful bidder, I expect you to: 1 - familiarise yourself with the codebase 2 - clean up the gems and versioning so it uses the latest version of ruby and RoR and is simple and seamless to install locally, i.e. no versioning clashes or difficulties installing 3 - implement local authentication (i.e. no third parties) 4 - refactor any linkages in the code that currently depend on FB authentication, so the FB link becomes optional, rather than necessary. 5 - implement Google account authentication 6 - add in email verification into the signup process (for the existing FB authentication and the 2 new authentication methods), i.e. sign up, but cannot proceed into the site properly until you verify your email address The main two models that will need updating are Person and User, though there will be a variety of other places in the code that need updating as a result of the changes. Note the front-end for the whole site will be re-done in the short-term (hopefully with your assistance if this project works out!) so any additional pages (or page edits) you are required to create can just be simple textboxes and labels. No CSS, design, or styling is required. It will be added at a later stage. Note any code that you produce will be required to be UNLICENSED, i.e. released into the public domain. So this may potentially be an opportunity for you to develop code that you can then reuse on other projects as you see fit.
