Clinical Procurement Specialist
. JOB SUMMARY This position supports the scientific & clinical procurement function as part of NA Procurement group by analyzing, developing and challenging all aspects of new and ongoing clinical trials. The position works closely with Swiftwater Site Lead and Scientific Manager to assess and manage all outsourcing needs in support of Phase I through Phase IV studies, including particular categories / markets such as Central Labs, IVRS, CROs, Central Medical Reading etc � and other related vaccine trial outsourcing. The Jr Buyer must have working knowledge of all market areas to function as a generalist within Scientific & Clinical Procurement. In addition, the position will assist the Managers on special projects and will be responsible to assist across multiple categories with strong recommended project management abilities and detail oriented. The procurement function aims at enabling the client's strategy by leveraging the supplier markets and delivering added value throughout operations performed within Central, Global, and Regional Units, pillars of its organization. The Central Unit is in charge of setting a vision and objectives aligned with the strategy of client and insuring function excellence by identifying and implementing the most advanced best practices in Resource Management, Sourcing, Process & System, Communication and Performance Analysis. Global Procurement Units is in charge of designing and implementing the procurement strategies per category aligned with the business LRPs through a worldwide network of lead buyers and category managers. Regional Procurement Units is in charge of executing and implementing the global purchasing strategies locally, developing active relationships with regional and local stakeholders, and contributing to the integration of the newly acquired business.
