Suzuki + Chou Communimedia is a multi-disciplinary public relations agency with an established presence in the market. We are seeking a savvy PR/Social Media professional at the Account Manager level to add to its growing team to work on some of the best hospitality and consumer clients in the city. Responsibilities: Serve as a senior day-to-day contact for clients, demonstrating in-depth knowledge of clients' business. Lead strategy sessions on new and existing accounts and develop strategy for implementing successful client programs. Troubleshoot clients' problems as they arise and provide strategic guidance to clients on an ongoing basis. Articulate the Suzuki + Chou principles and process to new and existing clients. Demonstrate proficiency in writing and editing materials including client media materials, byline articles, client correspondence and reports. Proactively pitch national/top-tier print, broadcast and online media, strengthening relationships to increase client's visibility in the marketplace and create new business opportunities. Prepare and assist in the management of account financials including budget allocation and control, time sheets, client billing, supplier invoicing and purchase orders; ensure team billability and account profitability. Develop strong negotiation skills with third party vendors. Actively participate and contribute to the development of account plans and ideas, including facilitating brainstorms and participating in program presentations. Exhibit strong communication and presentation skills to effectively articulate ideas to clients, colleagues and staff. Supervise multiple accounts/teams and participate in educating and mentoring account staff. Ensure each member of the team understands their role and how they fit together as part of the overall plan. Evaluate the team's effort collectively and individually. Promptly review their work and provide constructive feedback. Communicate overall marketing objectives, expectations and successful execution of marketing strategy to members of the team and staff. Facilitate and lead the creative development process including brainstorms, and encourage team to identify new and imaginative approaches to clients' programs. Maintain and help team members develop an in-depth knowledge of clients' industry and internal landscape, and share knowledge internally and externally. Demonstrate the ability to integrate agency specialty groups and offerings into client relationships. Understand, value and begin to champion the role Digital Strategy plays in program development, to both colleagues and client-partners, and work with them throughout program development. Support office leadership: sustain morale, mentor staff, support growth initiatives and recognition, and network in professional community. Ongoing high-level engagement with lead digital strategist on the account to identify what's working and what's not and recommend solutions when appropriate. As an integration point with traditional PR, build on existing foundation to think strategically about Digital Strategies. Contribute regularly to the intranet and encourage junior staff to also participate. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, English, Marketing, or a related field is preferred. 4+ years of agency and/or corporate public relations experience, specifically working with consumer brands, is preferred. Strong communication and presentation skills to effectively articulate ideas to clients, colleagues and staff. Proven track record of conceiving, planning and executing PR strategies. Must have high level of interest in digital and emerging technologies and New Media landscape, and experience with social media.
