Please note this is a 5 month contract position. Skills: Packaging experience, Regulatory, ISO/GMP experience  I.    Describe the 4 - 10 major duties of this position in terms of broad responsibilities and order of their importance, using active verbs. Show approximate percentage of time devoted to each.       1.  Assists with package design and development for new products, equipment, and/or processes. 15% 2.  Creates and maintains specifications, drawings, and procedures for packaging components and assemblies. 50% 3.  Performs and documents package testing. 15%      4.  Assists with packaging projects with suppliers, consultants and departments within the company. 10%  5.  Assist Package Engineering to troubleshoot packaging related problems for Manufacturing, Customer Service, Distribution and others    10%      Describe the qualifications in terms of skills and knowledge required for competent performance of this job: 1.  Ability to plan and coordinate projects in a team environment 2.  Knowledge of packaging materials for components, their production and performance characteristics. 3.  Must be computer literate.  Knowledge with software programs suitable for design, purchase and testing of packaging materials and systems.  Examples include specifications, database, procurement programs, drafting and spreadsheets. 4.  Good analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills. 5.  Capable of designing test protocols/reports for package components and assemblies 6.  Possess knowledge of pre-press graphic artwork and printing processes as related to package components.  These qualifications are most typically, but not exclusively, associated with a student pursuing a BS degree in Package Engineering or a recent college graduate                                                                        .
