Budget Analyst
The Budget Analyst will plan, program, prepare, formulate, present, and justify budgets for multiple Air Force programs. The successful candidate will provide current year review and analysis and long range vision to implement corrective actions necessary to successful budget execution within a public works activity. The analyst will interpret regulations and policies and initiates creative actions when necessary. Advise Leadership and other activity managers concerning all aspects of budgetary operations. Other responsibilities include: • Prepare and forecast reimbursement authority requirement by tenant organization. • Perform appropriation and program element budget execution. • Maintain status of fund by EEIC and appropriation. • Ensure all obligation documents are prepared and ready for processing. • Comply with all Financial Management tasking for close-out. • Review, validate, and make recommended correction for all financial transactions using the following financial reports: schedule of refunds/reimbursements, obligation budget ledger, and open document listing. • Track work order costs against approved amounts and statutory limitations within IWIMS Costing Database and ACES. File copy of source document in work order folder. • Develop schedule of reimbursement and refund report, submit all required reports, prepare reimbursable billing statements. • Provide all documents created and full disclosure of all work performed for Government. Requirements: •Bachelor level degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or 6+ years experience in related field •Understanding of DoD planning, programming and budget analysis guidance and regulations •Ability to work in a mixed government/contractor team. •Ability to work independently, manage multiple concurrent tasks and meet suspenses •Effective working knowledge of MS office and government accounting systems •NAC-I required Preferred Qualifications: •Air Force experience in Civil Engineering Squadron (CES) •Familiarity with military/AF planning, programming and budget analysis Position location: Ft.
