Our client's Managed Services is currently recruiting for a Systems Engineer for Data Center solutions support for Physical-to-Virtual projects and density related activities for their remote hosting solution. The System Engineer will be an integral part of the team. Position Description: Plans and conducts technical tasks associated with the implementation of physical and virtual (VMWare) computers systems and Active Directory solution sets working with internal resources and external clients. Conducts technical tasks associated with the implementation of the virtualization and Active Directory solutions in complex environments assuring the timely and quality completion of the deliverables May lead multiple virtualization and Active Directory projects simultaneously and is the main point of contact for a client Systems Engineer Minimum Requirements: 5+ years of implementation experience of information systems Experience with server virtualization and Active Directory at a large enterprise or service provider Experience in server virtualization concepts such as consolidation, live migration, disaster recovery, etc. with proven hands-on experience Experience implementing and maintaining large Active Directory environments Strong understanding of enterprise applications, database, and messaging solutions Excellent verbal and written communications skills Performance tuning of operating systems for VMware and Active Directory Support Working knowledge of high-availability and disaster recovery architectures and processes Additional Knowledge & Skills: Experience with database technologies, especially Microsoft SQL Server a plus Citrix XenApp experience preferred, and large environment performance enhancement skill set a plus Network and Storage knowledge a plus VMware Certified Professional (VCP) a strong plus Microsoft Certification Systems Engineer a plus Experience within a healthcare environment is preferred Education Bachelors degree in Computer Science/ Mathematics or equivalent experience. Information Services Management degree may be preferred
