We currently have an immediate requirement for a MySQL Database Administrator position in San Francisco CA. This is a CONTRACT position. Requirements: - Experience administering different MySQL table types, especially InnoDB. - Experience with MySQL replication, high performance content delivery, performance tuning/optimization (query optimization, index tuning, caching and buffer tuning) - 5 years of experience with MySQL as a Database Administrator in a production environment - Experience with checking for data consistency between master and slaves - Experience with databases running on VMware, EC2, XEN - Solid understanding and experience in disaster recovery and high availability, planning, and implementations - Troubleshoot database issues, maintain database systems availability and scalability - Experience with installation, configuration and upgrades of MySQL including the Percona MySQL build - Experience with MySQL backup and restore including backup and restore using Percona XtraBackup - Experience with schema refresh and database creation - Production database administration skills with MySQL Cluster, Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server are a plus Please email your resume to deepti@mumbatech.com for immediate consideration.
