Title: Business Intelligence Manager - Profitability Systems Location: Seattle, WA Duration: Permanent Salary: Open Candidate should have strong experience with building profitability models & allocations; Knowledge of Acron application is not mandatory. Primary Purpose: The Manager, Profitability Systems has overall responsibility for the Acorn application. They set direction by translating BIS strategic goals and objectives into plans and deliverables for their team. Managers influence policy, initiate and lead technical and business change. By setting direction, goals and performance metrics they are accountable for business objectives being delivered on time and within budget. As a Manager of people they are responsible for communicating expectations, monitoring performance of the team, providing continuous coaching and feedback, completing the performance review process, mentoring the development of direct reports, evaluating staffing levels, recruiting, hiring and corrective performance feedback and action. Specialized Knowledge: Must possess relevant technical knowledge in profitability-related applications. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple concurrent assignments. Adept at working in a fast paced, changing environment while serving the needs of multiple stakeholders. Specialized Knowledge/Skills: Experience building profitability models and associated Business Intelligence platforms. Strong business analysis with a focus on financial, order-to-cash and procure-to-pay processes for multiple industries Developer and architect - data savvy, ability to develop reporting solutions, customizations, integration and conversions. Software implementation, preferably financials Strong analysis skills Design and develop reporting solutions for Customer Profitability using tools such as SQL server, MS Reporting Services and MS Analysis Services. Develop management reports for tracking customer, product, industry, and sales rep performance, and data cubes for detailed analysis for Planning and Analysis and Performance Management departments. Understand Economic Profit model and Acorn's Performance Analyzer software. Research complex business processes so that Economic Profit model can be maximized. Project management with ability to design, lead, and deliver solutions Order-to-cash processes Financial ERP systems MRO (inventory, procurement, work order, preventative maintenance) Acorn Performance Analyzer Report writing (Lawson toolset, Crystal Reports, Microsoft Reporting Services and Analysis Services, Hyperion Essbase) Acorn application VBA Scripting, UNIX Scripting, SQL queries and stored procedures, MDX queries 4GL Cobol, Lawson ERP advanced technologies toolset Supervisory Responsibility 2 - 3 direct reports 2+ contractors overseen Education/Training/Experience: 3-5 years of systems or functional analysis experience required; or relevant work experience such as developing computer application software. 5+ years of relevant experience working in an IT environment.
