Windows System Administrator Location: Chantilly, VA 6 Month+ Contract Years of Experience: 4 years Clearance: Must have Active TS/SCI Our client, an aeronautics company affiliated with the military and federal government is looking for a Windows System Administrator for a 6+ month contract. Candidates must have an ACTIVE Top Secret SCI Clearance and have a minimum of 4 years of experience with Windows and Unix systems administration, configuration and operation as well as experience with VMWare and Active Directory. Required skills: - A minimum of 4 years of experience with UNIX and Windows systems administration, configuration and operation. - Experience with Active Directory and VMWare. - Experience installing new systems and new applications software. - Experience with back-up and recovery. - Experience creating and maintaining technical documentation for systems administration and support. - A Bachelor's in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics or related field. - Comprehensive understanding of government information security requirements. Provide comprehensive system administration for UNIX and Windows in Washington, D.C. region. Systems administration duties may include but are not limited to: installing new systems or applications software; analyzing auditing output of host systems; experience with Active Directory and VMWare; review and deployment of systems release and vendor supplied patches according to security evaluations to ensure compliance with policies and licensing agreements; developing, implementing and monitoring back-up and recovery tools and processes; experience in web design and content and creating and maintaining technical documentation for systems administrators and other support personnel. Bachelors in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, mathematics or related field with a minimum of 4 years related experience with UNIX and Windows system administration, configuration and operation required. Understanding of government information security requirements desired, Ability to work on team projects required. Must have demonstrated written and oral communication skills.
