Job Description: Innovar Group is searching for top technical talent in Denver, CO. Our client is an IT Managed Services organization that is looking to add a Tier 3 Enterprise Server Engineer to their team. This is an exciting opportunity in a growing market. This position is 3 months contract to hire. Summary: Enterprise Server Operations Support is a full-time position that is part of a larger server team group. This team is responsible for the management and monitoring of a large number of servers in all regions of the world. We are a managed services company that supports a large number of customers with servers in our data centers and on customer premises. Core functions of the Server Operations team include: Management of server and storage systems and issue resolution within the client base. Management of new clients and installations and migrations. Continuous identification of ways to improve our clients’ systems and infrastructure (upgrades to hardware, software, network, etc.). We provide daily monitoring and management of Managed Services on-site managed servers as well. Must have advanced knowledge of: o All Windows Server OS versions o AD/DNS/WINS/DHCP o Messaging/Exchange upgrading, load balancing o Thin Client Solutions (Citrix, Microsoft Terminal Services) o Virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V, XenServer) o SQL Server Backup/Recovery, tuning, and advanced administration o SharePoint (MOSS and WSS) o Systems Management tools (WSUS, SCCM, SCOM, etc…) These technologies are a plus o AD , Java, VB, Shell or other Scripting/Programming abilities o LINUX /UNIX o Other Email technologies (SPAM, SendMail, Etc…) o SAN/NAS architecture, management, performance/tuning Education, Experience and Travel Requirements MCSE and 5 to 7 years experience in server administration Local travel may be required to set up servers in client locations and company data centers. Interstate / International travel may be required; this is estimated at once to twice a year.
