We are currently recruiting for IT System Administrators to join a great company here in Las Vegas, NV! This is a contract position that is expected to go permanent. Responsibilities to Include - This position is responsible for all infrastructure administration activities and to serve as the primary network, security, and systems administrator. Duties - Provides direction, suggestions, and project recommendations to management to facilitate best use of technology. Installs, supports, and maintains both physical and virtual network servers and appliances. Manages and maintains Firewall and IDS / IPS. Assists in coordinating special projects including wiring plans, LAN/WAN software/hardware purchases, system installation, backup, maintenance and problem solving. Review architectural design and evaluate compliance to applicable PCI standards. Manages and maintains the security standards and procedures for routers, switches, servers, anti-virus, email systems, web servers, log management and event correlation etc. Analyze and resolve security breaches and or vulnerability issues. Install, configure, and test PC and server and hardware, software, LAN and WAN networks, storage and monitoring tools. Define, develop and maintain system and operational policies and procedures. Troubleshoot, maintain and support all IT infrastructure and end user devises. This list may not include all of the general duties, nor do all of the listed examples include all tasks which may be performed on a regular basis. Skills and Qualifications Must have in-depth understanding of operating systems, software systems, network and infrastructure hardware, and patch management. Intermediate to expert knowledge of PCI standards, information security design principles and practices. Intermediate to expert knowledge of firewalls, virus protection technology, security policies and content filtering technology. VMware Administration experience a plus. Familiarity with Enterprise Data Protection, Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Planning a plus. Previous experience writing processes and procedures. Ability to anticipate and resolve technical issues at the server, network and PC levels. Degree in Computer Information Science or related field or equivalent work experience is required. 5 years of experience in System Administration and IT Security roles.
