This is a great opportunity to work within a supportive school in as a Key Stage One teacher in Birmingham. The school has an excellent support system and the year group has a strong year group partner. The ideal candidate would be interested in participating in extra curricular activities within the school community. The primary teaching position in Birmingham is accessible from all main transport links in the Birmingham. The successful candidate should be an experienced Key Stage Tone teacher in the Birmingham area and have UK experience as a primary teacher for the job available in Birmingham from September 2012. ***You must have recent experience as a primary teacher ***You must have recent experience working as a Key Stage One teacher **You must have experience within Year Two teacher ***Be available for face to face interviews at my client primary school in Birmingham (Please note, my client primary school will not be holding interviews until September 2012, but you must be available to come and interview with EDUstaff) ***Commit to the full duration for the contract A little about the school: My client primary is much larger than the average-sized primary school. All of the pupils are from minority ethnic heritages with the largest group being Pakistani. Most pupils speak English as an additional language and enter the school at a very early stage of learning English. The proportion of pupils with disabilities and those with special educational needs is above average. The proportion of pupils known to be eligible for free school meals is more than double that found nationally. All the pupils are Muslim and the daily act of worship is Islamic. The school meets the current floor standard (national minimum academic standard). The school holds a number of awards including: National Healthy Schools status, the bronze Eco-Awareness award, Basic Skills Quality Mark and Investors in People.
