Short term contract- 12 Day power shutdown work in September Experienced Safety professional required from a Construction background Excellent hourly rate We are currently seeking an experienced and reliable Health & Safety advisor for our client who is based approximately 215km south west of Brisbane. The Health & Safety support person is a short term contract role to assist the Power Station & the Safety Manager in the performance of duties throughout the outage/Shutdown period. The Shutdown period will be in September and we are requiring highly experienced, professional hands on advisor to assist the Safety manager. The shutdown will run for approximately 12 days and this will involve day and afternoon shifts. The Safety advisor will be heavily involved in conducting safety walks throughout the power station and ensuring the health & safety of contractors on-site. Ideally you have experience with scaffolders, riggers and welders in their work environments ensuring compliance of safety procedures and policies. You will be involved in; Site inspections Attendance at daily meetings as required Conduct risk assessments and/or incident investigations as needed Monitor contractor health & safety compliance Assist with implementation of drug & Alcohol testing program Your previous experience working in a similar environment will be highly regarded as will your ability to work and contribute as part of a team. Required: Certificate IV in OHS Current Driver's License Knowledge of relevant OHS legislation Liaise with all levels of management from Senior management to workers and subcontractors on site Excellent interpersonal skills Strong attention to detail Ability to work autonomously and with a team Good Communication and organisational skills If you are a reliable, hands on Safety professional available in September, Please send through your resume for review.
