I have a flight comparison website and I am trying to build my own booking form. I already have a list of destinations in Json format (Name/description and airport code). I need to change the form so that when a user starts entering a destination, the possible matches are displayed using jQuery autocomplete. Requirements: * If a user started typing a name, and leaves the form field, the best match should be selected automatically. * When a selection is made (or autocompleted as above), a second hidden form field needs to be assigned a value (the airport code). Website setup: * Wordpress 3.4 * Gravity Forms * Headway 2.0.13 Theme More details: * The theme (Headway) has one file, custom_functions.php, where the code should be added - similar to functions.php in most themes. * I am currently using the gform_pre_render hook to populate a blank HTML field to include the jQuery on the pages where it is required. * The form will redirect using the values to display the results in an iframe on a separate page (this is already working). Basically, what happens is when I call the booking form using the Gravity Forms shortcode, the custom_functions.php triggers the functions to add the code required before outputting the form and HTML into the page/post. Why I need to update: I tried (and somewhat succeeded) using an older version of jQuery and a jsonsuggest script. However, I'd prefer to use the same version of jQuery that comes standard with Wordpress (no use loading additional javascripts). The old version also does not seem to allow the autoselect when a user leaves the form. That means that sometimes the hidden field is not populated, causing errors.
