The school has recently come out of special measures, with the new head teacher providing outstanding leadership to the school and the staff, that has seen them make great strides in improving standards. You will be an ambitious and passionate teacher, committed to supporting the continued improvement of standards and who sets high expectations of themselves and the students in their care. The school itself sits on a large site, with good facilities and well sized classrooms. Students come from a diverse multicultural background, and have varying levels of attainment. You will take responsibility for teaching a year 5 class of 28 pupils(currently), whilst support will be provided by an experienced level 2 TA. Planning is done on an individual basis, though support will be available from the Key Stage 2 co-ordinator an experienced teacher and leader. The school is easy to reach being located near the local train station which is just a 10 minutes walk away and bus routes that either pass close to or right outside the school.
