My client in the Public Sector is looking to recruit a Windows Server Support Analyst for a renewable 3 month contract based in Central London. The purpose of the role is to provide technical assistance to the Technology Refresh programme and to the Active Directory and SCCM operations teams. You should be able to demonstrate the following skills and experiences: Proven experience of support and engineering of IT systems, preferably in a global corporate client-server environment, together with a sound understanding of the business role of IT. Primary Skills 3rd Line Active Directory Support Engineer 3rd Line SCCM 2007 Extensive knowledge of Windows Server 2003 Active Directory (MSCA or MSCE or equivalent experience) Good knowledge of Windows Server 2008 R2 Active Directory (MCITP preferred) Experience of multisite model encompassing 30+ sites. Support and maintaining Active Directory Organisational Unit structure including delegation model Extensive knowledge of Group Policy including Group Policy Preferences. Administration within a least privilege environment. Proactive performance and health status monitoring. Scripting skills with Vbscript or Powershell. Ability to document clear processes and mentoring of support staff. Secondary Skills Knowledge of Exchange 2003/2010 Office productivity tools, Microsoft Office, Internet Explorer, Outlook or similar Communications - connectivity including networking technologies and protocols, wireless and mobile working, VPNs, satellite, etc. IT Security - use of DMZs, encryption technologies, Backup Exec or other Backup system, Mcafee or other Anti Virus Product, development to standards, eg BS7799, OGC or similar and design knowledge to meet required standards for Data Protection, Computer Misuse, etc .
