Planning and Materials Controller
For our client, a leading food manufacture representing some of the nation's favourite brands, we are looking for a Planning and Materials Controller to work on a 6 month contract based in Lifton (Devon). Key responsibilities: Evaluating the Demand Plan for Lifton FG to deliver a production plan, by assessing capacity, highlighting issues and identifying opportunities to balance customer demand and Lifton supply in the medium- and the short-term. Re-evaluate service levels daily - proactively amending production schedules to react to demand and sales forecasts so as to optimise customer service and operational costs. Report daily conformance against plan and alignment between customer service. Ensure timely delivery of an accurate supply plan for raw materials and packaging against line schedules. This involves detailed planning and control of liquid milk supplies to meet site requirements. Co-ordinate RM/PM changes so as to control resulting stock wastage/losses due to changes in production plan or product repack/relaunch. To be active in ordering materials in response to the production plan for an expanding product range and an increasing list of raw - and packaging-materials (retailer/own label & Ambrosia) showing varying FG demand whilst maintaining adequate materials inventory levels. Acting in a timely manner to the information of RM/PM requirements identified and supplied by Planning Manager & Planner.
