The Basis/Security Administrator will be responsible for supporting the operations and maintenance of the SAP R/3, BI, Portals, Solution Manager, Access Enforcer and their related utility systems. This position is located in Bridgewater, New Jersey. Main Duties: * Delivers SAP Basis support to the SAP COE functional teams and their respective client areas in North America (U.S., Canada and Puerto Rico) * Executes daily operational activities related to the SAP environment including; object transports, setup/configuration, operational SAP monitoring, error handling, performance/tuning, and problem determination/resolution * Works with various IS Infrastructure teams to assist in the coordination of the following tasks: Unix administration, Oracle database administration, Maestro job scheduling, SAP GUI distribution, Infrastructure maintenance/upgrades/etc, and Infrastructure problem/issue determination/resolution * Assigned to IS project teams implementing various SAP, BW and Portals related projects new modules, BW business content, iViews, etc * Support change control processes, software releases and source code management practices * Log, track, and resolve application issues reported from client areas * Expected to communicate openly with upper management and escalate issues when appropriate * Implements and assesses security procedures and practices for SAP R/3, BI and Portals, Solution Manager along with VIRSA Access Enforcer Role Maintenance User Maintenance SAP Netweaver 2004S experience is required * Responsible for day to day Security operations as well as supplemental project work * Performs responsibilities in conformance with established standards, while maintaining a high level of user trust and confidence to ensure seamless IT functioning for internal and external users Skills: * Minimum of 5 years IT related professional experience * Minimum of 5 years SAP Basis/Security experience including at least one system implementation, one technical upgrade, and at least one year providing operational support * Pharmaceutical industry experience are desirable * Must Have worked in a Validated SOX Controlled Environment * Must have worked with Remedy Change Control systems * Must have demonstrated experience in SAP and BW Basis administration (SAP version ECC 6x / Netweaver 04 or above) * Must possess a strong understanding of Unix and Oracle technologies * Must know what satisfies customers and make customer satisfaction a high priority for self and team. * Must have the ability to work in a team environment, effectively interacting with others. * Must conform to and promote policies and procedures to ensure adherence to FDA and other regulatory requirements * Must be results oriented, and demonstrate a with a can do attitude, adaptability, flexibility and resourcefulness * Must have the ability to think ahead and make clear, well planned decisions considering all feasible options * Must be competent to perform work at the highest technical level and are familiar with project management techniques
