Job Description Lead System Consultant- System Analyst and Programming Cedar Rapids, IA Position Responsibilities * Performs complex system design, troubleshooting and performance design and problem solving on SingleView applications software projects which require research and analysis. * Assists in performing on-site client work. Advises senior management and engages with vendor teams as design leader.--- * Has very high level of technical and product knowledge and is able to operate unsupervised across multiple environments and platforms. * Delivers SingleView billing application architecture and detailed technical design to meet complex business requirements. Integrates application design with multiple systems where system interactions are complex and are critical to business process reliability and efficiency. * Designs solutions to meet Verizon customers' complex global billing. Works with minimal supervision.--- * Using functional expertise advises management and makes recommendations. Uses professional concepts and company policies and procedures to solve a wide range of difficult problems in creative and practical ways. * Leads projects. Engages with other Verizon IT teams and with vendors on high complexity billing deliverables as the SingleView functional and design leader. * Designs and executes system performance testing and software tuning in order to address application performance issues. Diagnoses performance issues, designs solutions, develops and implements. * Provides advice to and support for release implementations. Performs third level support on highly complex production issues.--- * Produces critical system documents and presentations to communicate key system principles and achievements. * Mentors Developers on selected deliverables Required Skills & Experience * Minimum 10 years experience in Billing System Design and Development of which at least 5 years on SingleView and Oracle SQL. * Minimum 3 years experience as Lead Designer or Architect on Billing Systems. * 5 years experience developing with Perl.
