A software company located in the Financial District is seeking a Sr. Financial Analyst with a blend of GL accounting skills. They are looking for someone with a blend of full cycle accounting through month-end, FP/A, and being systems savvy or having experience going through GL mergers and software implementations. Position Responsibilities: Be responsible for all finance and accounting for this business unit and the involved team You will be the only support locally, for this group and will report to a Finance Manager who sits out of state Set-up accounting policies and procedures Accounting tasks could include full cycle A/P, general ledger accounting, journal entries, account and bank reconciliations, and month-end close functions Finance tasks will include budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial reporting Act as the main point of contact to track financials for this group Act as a business partner with the GM and their Team You will also assist with transferring all GL information from proprietary software that Charge Smart they were using; that is now in a migration to Oracle which our client uses Make sure that Business Objects is set-up appropriately Our client will be working to implement Hyperion Essbase throughout their entire organization as well Candidates Must Have: A BA / BS degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or relatable subject At least 5+ years of blended accounting and finance experience The ability to be helpful and have skills with systems implementations and/or upgrades Experience with Oracle (may consider SAP or PeopleSoft), Hyperion Essbase, and Business Objects is strongly preferred The ability to work independently under minimal supervision Strong verbal and written communication skills Solid business partnership skills Ability to explain financial concepts to non-financial individuals Ability to act as a liaison with technology teams during systems implementations
