Vircon is currently looking for an Infrastructure Architect for a well established financial firm in San Francisco. The architect will be responsible for leading a group of engineers with the design, planning, and influencing upper management with all infrastructure related upgrades. The Group is responsible for all infrastructure systems for the entire Enterprise Data Center under a single technology group that caters to all infrastructure related needs within the company. Responsibilities: Demonstrates ability to evaluate and assess new technologies. This includes leading analysis of technology industry and market trends to determine their potential impact. Contributes to the evaluation and selection of IT Consistency standards. Displays a strong commitment to the customer experience and to deliver quality service, products and architecture artifacts. Understands and is guided by the business and the New Normal and Compass goals and strategies, inclusive of understanding technology, process and people dependencies and financial responsibility. Ability to drive short-term actions that are consistent with long-term goals. Knowledge of financial management with ability to estimate financial impact of multiple fact-based alternatives. Required Skills: *Demonstrates ability to lead and design conceptual, logical and physical architecture which is ready to implement/execute and meeting business capability requirements. Demonstrates knowledge of several infrastructure domains like data center, network, storage, and compute. Demonstrates ability to develop architecture solutions at the enterprise, line of business and departmental levels. We are NOT looking for an Engineer who is very technical but looking for an Architect who has experience writing blueprints, plans in a distributed system.* Infrastructure Architect with demonstrated experience in network, storage, compute, data center, end user, voice or video technology domains for a large enterprise *focus is hardware, servers, databases *set up blueprints, mapping, for engineers, capacity planning.
