Occupational Safety Admin Assistant (Part Time) Our client is the country's leading safety charity, with a mission to save lives and reduce injuries. Position: Occupational Safety Admin Assistant Location: Birmingham Duration: Maternity Cover, 6-9 months contract. Part Time (21 hours per week) Salary: £8,400 to £9,600 per annum ROLE: To assist the Occupational Safety Adviser with general office administration. An exciting opportunity has arisen to assist with both general office administration and event organisation to cover a period of maternity leave supporting their Occupational Safety Adviser. This role covers a full range of administrative responsibilities, including: diary management; general correspondence; database management; and website updating. RESPONSIBILITIES: a) General Administration duties including; Diary management, organising meetings, scheduling, paperwork, documentation and filing. b) To retrieve appropriate up to date information to deadlines. c) To maintain the contact databases making sure that they are accurate and up to date. d) To maintain the website to an excellent standard e) To respond to incoming email and telephone enquiries in a timely and professional manner f) To undertake all actions involved in the organisation of meetings. g) Liaison with Safety Groups, including answering any queries. h) To ensure that health, safety and environmental risks are adequately assessed and controlled in respect of your own job role and those of reporting staff. ESSENTIAL SKILLS / EXPERIENCE: a) 3 A Levels or equivalent. b) At least one year's experience in a similar Administration role is required. c) Excellent use of Word/ Excel/ Outlook. d) Excellent written and spoken English e) Excellent organisational skills f) Experience in event organisation DESIRABLE SKILLS / EXPERIENCE: a) ECDL European Computer Driving Licence. b) Experience of using databases. c) Some experience of working within the voluntary sector.
