Trade Compliance Officer (Maternity Cover)
Our client is seeking an experienced Trade Compliance Officer to join their small, but busy team. This role is a 9 month FTC to cover maternity leave. The company is looking for someone to start end of September as they will need to do a 2 week handover. Job Role: *Assisting the Import and Export Manager with the managing of UK,US and European export authorisations. * Drafting and submitting of UK and US export licence applications. * Working with UK HMRC agents regarding import and export queries. * Preparing export documents for freight companies. * Managing trade compliance requirements for visitors and employees foreign travel. *Administrative support to the commercial team. *Preparing documents to ensure compliance with the international letter of credit requirements. *Conduct trade compliance training. Preferred Skills: * Previous experience within a trade compliance role is essential * Knowledge of ITAR would be a distinct advantage * Ability to work under pressure * Must be PC literate and experienced in the use of Microsoft Office applications.
