C Programmer / Developer - C Software Engineer required - Swansea C Software Engineer required by Computer People's client based in Swansea. As C Software Engineer will be responsible for software development within a number of C development projects, within our clients OpenVMS environment. The C Software Engineer will have a proven track-record in software design, development, testing, and commissioning techniques specifically related to C programming within OpenVMS environments, and will have a thorough understanding of the related DECset toolkit. It is also highly desirable the C Software Engineer has a good working knowledge of SQL queries and Oracle Rdb. To summarise, the C Software Engineer will possess strong skills in the following areas: Essential - C programming / development - DECset toolkit Desirable - OpenVMS - SQL queries - Oracle Rdb It will also be a distinct advantage if alongside the skills in C programming, OpenVMS, and DECset, the Developer has an understanding of the fundamentals of control systems, and database administration / database design - although this is not essential. With strong technical capabilities you must also have good verbal and written communication skills, and be comfortable working as part of a team.
