Computer Hardware Support
Adecco Engineering & Technical is currently looking for a Computer Hardware Support Technician for our client in Vancouver **IT asset management oversees the life-cycle management of all information technology (IT) assets including acquisition, inventory tracking, and disposal of hardware and software. **The position requires a candidate to have a strong working knowledge of computer systems and components as well as operating systems and applications software. -Qualified candidates please send an MS Word version of your resume to carol.heard@adeccona.com or call Carol Heard at (503) 535-2588 Responsibilities: Plans and oversees IT asset management program. Manage the physical components of computers and computer networks, from acquisition through disposal. Administer the IT Asset Management request and approval process, procurement management, life cycle management, redeployment and disposal management. Develops procedures for use by department level staff to maintain an asset database or tool. Educate team and colleagues as needed to obtain accurate data collection and maintenance of asset records. Establishes, maintains, and enforces asset management procedures and standards. Coordinates or is involved in hardware disposal efforts. Generates asset tracking reports as needed by IT leadership for planning and budgeting purposes. Adherence to all existing processes, best practices, procedures, and work instructions. Communicates through both written and verbal media effectively. Requirements: 6 months to 5+ years experience in Computer Technology/Computer Information or related field. Undergraduate Degree in Computer Technology/Computer Information or related field. Desired Certifications: Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician (MCDST) Certified Software Asset Manager (CSAM) Certified Hardware Asset Management Professional (CHAMP) Certified IT Asset Manager (CITAM) Working knowledge of computer systems and components and to some degree operating systems and applications software. Knowledge and Experience in Knowledge of hardware and software lifecycle management. Knowledge of best practice asset management procedures. Strong analytical skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
