There was this guy named Demetrius Phalereus. He was a classical greek politician, rhetorician, and philosopher. He sought wisdom, virtue, and truth after the giants of his time (Socrates, Plato, Aristotle). While in Greece, he became the ruler of Athens for ten years and implemented social reform to improve the middle class. After his reign, his political enemies exiled him to Egypt where he went to the court of Ptolemy the 1st Sotor. It was there that he inspired and oversaw the creation of the Library of Alexandria, the first great library which attempted to amass the worlds knowledge. We are a company based upon those classical principles combined with an innovative vision to advance education. We are looking for something like the logo provided, not necessarily this logo. Feel free to take it in a totally different direction. In reference to the Logo, we've come up with some minor changes/feels we like. 1. Change the greek at the top. Maybe into our slogan? I don't know how small or big it's going to be... 2. Harder lines on the bottom and in the columns, but not too hard. 3. More of the shading/line development of the top. Basically make the bottom more like the top 4. More space between the logo and the title of the company 5. Flowing script underneath "phalereus publishing" with the company slogan (instead of the greek up top?) 6. I like the font Also keep in mind, our logo will most likely appear side-by-side with other logos (the companies we are publishing for).
