Position: Master Data Business Analyst - Vendor Master<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> SUMMARY OF ROLE : This position provides support to the SCM Transformation Master Data Work Stream as a resource to improve the quality of our client’s Procurement Master Data. The Vendor Master Data Analyst is responsible for assisting with the cleansing and maintenance of the vendor masters. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: As a member of the Calgary SE&P Procurement Governance and Systems-SCM Master Data Team your responsibilities will include: · Creating, changing, deleting and extending Vendor Master data as requested. · Updating information records in the vendor master as requested. · Reviewing and updating processes and documentation as stored in the client Document Management System. · Assisting with the development and implementation of vendor master data controls, standardization of text and naming convention adherence. · Participating in SAP user groups and process improvement workshops. · Participating where required with new project work as requested. · Supporting existing service response times with the ability to quickly and accurately resolve problems and answer questions relating to master data issues with vendor masters. · Managing inbound calls/emails related to other master data inquiries. · Ensuring compliance with audit requirements related to master data. · Refining and assisting with the development of vendor master business processes to improve quality and efficiency · Developing and maintaining a strong working relationship with field customers, subordinates, peers, and management · Maintaining and updating vendor master forms and documents that are related to vendor management. · Supporting CLIENT’s Operational Integrity Management Systems. · Incorporating HSE objectives as part of the Performance Review Process · Ensuring all work is safe carried out in a safe and responsible manner · Attending and participating in arranged HSE meetings as requested QUALIFICATIONS: Business /Technical diploma or High school diploma with a minimum of 2-4 years’ experience, preferably in the petroleum industry 2 years of experience with SAP Vendor Management Familiarity with Oil and Gas or refinery equipment. Strong organization skills, with the ability to set priorities, follow-up and meet deadlines. Ability to communicate with all levels of the company and external contacts. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, varied and diverse environment with changing priorities. High attention to detail is a must. Strong problem solving and interpersonal skills with timely and tactful responses to problems and inquiries.
